Title race spices up as Chelsea and Manchester United lose while Liverpool Fc were held aback by The Bees
The title race is off to some firing start as clubs at the top are very close in terms of points. Liverpool holds the first spot in the premier league table but are only 1 point off 5 other premier league clubs. With Manchester City facing Liverpool at Anfield in the game week 7, there are opportunities for other clubs to regain that first spot. As Chelsea faces Southampton at the Stamford Bridge and the Red Devils host Everton at Old Trafford, Chelsea have the best opportunity of taking that first place.
Brentford, a team to watch as they expose Liverpool
Brentford against Liverpool possibly was the game of the weekend as Brentford played with a lot of courage and were determined as soon as they scored the first goal. With Ivan Toney leading the line and Thomas Frankβs brilliance on the sidelines, they definitely look to be the team that might cause many upsets in the near future. Although the game ended as a draw, Liverpool managed to create many opportunities which could have been finished off by Salah. We have already witnessed that Brentford have been excellent especially at the back as they have only managed to concede 5 goals. Thomas Franke has done an exceptional job as they are currently ranked 9th in the premier league table.
Chelsea’s blow against Manchester City was bound to happen with the way they were playing
As Chelsea faced City at Stamford Bridge in an early kickoff on Saturday, the blues suffered an enormous blow from the prevailing champions. Chelsea conceded a scrappy goal that displayed the nature of how Chelsea has been playing previously. The games against sides such as Zenit and Aston Villa made it difficult for Tuchel’s side to find spaces in the attack. Another thing to notice was that Tuchel got his tactics wrong as it felt that Chelsea was playing on the backfoot. The citizens did put on a great show as they were very resilient in almost every aspect of the game. Chelsea playing with more action upfront and create more chances for Lukaku would be some of the few improvements that many would hope for in the future run of fixtures.
Hale End Boys Ran A Riot In The North London Derby
Arsenal beat fierce rivals Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium after an amazing first-half performance. And if the side was going to win, the youngsters from the Hale end were bound to be heavily involved. Two of them are unique, who will drag Arsenal to some major results this season: Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe displayed why they are so essential for the side, creating 3 and 2 chances respectively. The new signings including, Aaron Ramsdale and Takehiro Tomiyasu played excellently, and the win would have lifted the squad’s mood.
Jiminez Finally Scores After A Horrifying Injury
Jiminez’s start to this premier league campaign only meant that he wanted to move on from the terrifying injury he suffered in the previous season. It was a great joy to see him on the scoresheet as his performances were of high class. His recent performances included a punch of creativity which was of great fortune but never paid off for the team. Wolverhampton lacks accuracy in the front of the goal and hopefully will be delivered by Raul Jiminez. Wolves have a great run of fixtures ahead and, after the return of Podence, Wolves will show more promise upfront.
Manchester United’s Injury Woes Continue to Worry The Fans
United’s Woes continue to aggravate as Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw had to be substituted off against Aston Villa. As the Red Devils failed to score against Aston Villa, the Villans created history by winning at Old Trafford for the first time in 12 years. Villa deserved the victory thoroughly as United didn’t create enough chances, and immense credit goes to Dean Smith’s side, which made it difficult for United to beat the pressure built up by Villa. A lot of pressure is on Ole Gunner Solskjaer as they certainly are not up to the mark. The two recent defeats and how they occurred have certainly created a few doubts about Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s in-game management. With a huge turn in the fixtures for United, there is a sense of concern about how United will prevail in these fixtures.
West Ham Dominating As Bielsa’s Team Is Falling Apart
As Leeds United failed to beat West Ham United in front of their home fans, Marcelo Bielsa has come under scrutiny. Leeds have failed to win a single match out of the first six fixtures, despite scoring a decent amount of goals. The style of play is too frantic all the while the team is struggling with many injuries and Bielsa is not handling the situation well.
Although the recent results would have put off many fans but the fixtures look promising for the future. Many things need to be improved by Marcelo Bielsa which can only happen if he can make some harsh decisions and tightens up his defense.
