Luca Netz
The 17-year-old defender is regarded as one of the Bundesliga’s top young talents after a breakout campaign in Berlin. His entry to the first-team was no short of a god gift. With the increasing height of the Covid-19 pandemic many of the starters were unavailable which paved way for the youngster to shine and show everybody what he is capable of. He did the exact same thing but sadly he got injured by then end of the 2019/20 season. 2021 turned out to be a brilliant year for him as two days into the new year, he came off the bench to score his first ever goal in professional football against Schalke and in that process making him the second-youngest Bundesliga player in the club’s history.
That began a run of six straight appearances for the left-back, who has also been utilised further forward on the left-hand side of midfield at times. Although getting injured by the end of the season once again, he has a chance to make a strong comeback in this season and with his manager having full faith in him, he can’t ask for anything more. This young Left Back from Berlin might just have one of his biggest seasons of his career ahead of him.
Florian Wirtz
At this moment, the sky is the limit for this 18 year old as he is already a regular starter for Bayer Leverkusen despite having made his debut as a 17-year-old in May 2020. Only a few weeks after his debut, he was able to score a goal against the mighty Bayern Munich and in that process making himself the German top-flight’s youngest scorer. He is coming into the new season on the back of some stellar performances in the U-21 Euros, and is showing everyone with every passing game, that he is a world class talent.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise that the young talented midfielder has been the subject of interest for the elite clubs in Europe. Wirtz scored and assisted five goals each for Bayer Leverkusen last season and With this being his second season as a starter for Bayer Leverkusen, he has a chance to showcase his brilliant talent at the biggest stage. This is the season where he can breakout as one of the most promising youngster in Europe.
Yousouffa Moukoko
Borussia Dortmund are known for producing young, talented players time and again. Moukoko although, is the youngest of the lot. At just 16 years of age, everyone in the footballing world knows that this prodigy would go on to do some wonders. Moukoko became the youngest player to feature in the Bundesliga and the Champions League last season. To top it all, He also became the youngest goalscorer in the Bundesliga after he scored his first goal in mid-December last year against Union Berlin.
He was able to score 3 goals from the 14 appearances last season, which is super impressive considering he is only 16 years old. Also getting to play in the prestigious Champions League at such a young age must’ve been no short of a dream for this youngster. A left footed player with an eye for goal at every minute of the game, has a lot to build on this season as he looks to make a name for himself by performing big at the biggest stages. Tipped as the next best forward by many, if he continues the growth he has had till now he will be able to achieve greater heights and that too at a very young age.
Jude Bellingham
Labelled as one of the most promising youngster in the footballing world when he left Birmingham City, he had offers from all over the Europe but he chose a club who is known for nurturing young talents, Borussia Dortmund. He instantly became a starter at the club and has made 46 appearances in all competitions already.
A tenacious, hardworking midfielder, with the confidence to drive with the ball, he has continued to grow by every passing game. Scoring 4 goals last season, including an absolute stunner against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter final stage, he has undoubtedly caught everyone’s eyes. His career has only gone upwards from the starting but everybody knows he has a lot more to offer. With the likes of Jadon Sancho not in the squad, he has a very good chance to step up this season and take the league by storm.
Jamal Musiala
Being a part and making appearances for a top team like Bayern Munich is no easy task and to do it at the age of 18 just goes to show the potential and the quality the player possesses. Musiala has already made 26 appearances for the Bavarian Giants, which includes 6 Champions League appearances as well. The eighteen-year-old attacking midfielder has shown promise and is capable of playing in various positions in midfield and his six goals and an assist last season is a sample size of what he is capable of doing in future.
His work rate in both defence and attack gives him the edge over the other players. With 24 pressures per game, Musiala is often pouncing on the ball higher up the field. His rate of interceptions per ninety minutes is considerably very high as well, making him one of the most hardworking attacking player. His style of play and his commitment is everything a top club needs and with Bayern under new management, he will fit right into Nagelsmann’s plans and will get much more chances. This season he has a chance to prove his pedigree and make a name for himself as the next big thing in Bayern Munich.
