Euro Fantasy Differtential Picks
Finland v/s Russia: Pohjanpalo of Finland scored in 3 of his last 4 games for his team and even today he almost scored again making it 4 goals in 4 games before VAR ruled it out and put Finland in a difficult position. Priced at just €6 million and 4% ownership he is a cheap and overlooked strike option with a good return probability.
Wales v/s Turkey: Aaron Ramsey was instrumental in the win against Turkey, bombing forward and making runs from the deep, getting on the end of through balls and crosses. At 0% the most differential player you could have in your team. He has a relatively high price of €8.5 million but he could prove vital against Italy whose defenders are not the fastest to catch a late run from Aaron Ramsey.
Italy v/s Switzerland: The Italian side has got several players but ironically Manuel Locatelli who has the most points in the entire Euro Fantasy League after Day-6 is owned by only 1% of the players. Priced at a mere €5.5 million he could be a great differential to rise in your mini league.
Disappointment of the Day
Hailed by several as the potential dark horses of the tournament, Turkey have not stood up to expectations. They don’t look threatening while going forward even though they have players of high quality like Burak yilmaz, Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Ozan Tufan. Çağlar Söyüncü looked a bit solid but that wasn’t enough to stop Wales from putting 2 past their net making it 5 goals conceded and 0 goals scored in 2 games. With 0 points and a -5 GD, qualification for the knockouts doesn’t looks highly improbable for the Turkish.
Player of the Day
Locatelli scored 2 goals for the Gli Azzurri but the Italian team probably still would have won had there been another player in his place. But without Gareth Bale, the Welsh might not have prevailed. Bale made several penetrative passes and crosses into the box and took 5 shots, 2 on target, and made Turkey sweat. He was the architect for both of the goals, with a remarkable through ball to Ramsey to open the scoring and a great run from the corner flag to set up the second one for Connor Roberts. He misses a penalty which might have cost his team but at the end it didn’t and it’s also important to remember that he was the one who won it.
Predictions for Day-7
Ukraine v/s North Macedonia: North Macedonia looked weak against Austria, unable to create chances and unable to work the opposition goalkeeper much. Ukraine like Macedonia also lost their opening game but they put up a big fight for the 3 points and should get them against the lowest ranked team in the competition. Score: 2-0
Denmark v/s Belgium: Belgium are ranked World number 1 and are playing like them. With Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard coming back from injury the will be even stronger. Denmark will be without their key player Christian Eriksen after he collapsed on the field during the game against Finland making their team a much weaker side. Belgium should dispose of Denmark with ease. Score: 3-0
Netherlands v/s Austria: Both of these teams are similar in the way that their defense is not the strongest but when they attack they look a much better side. Netherlands is still the favorites to win this group and if they win today they just might secure that position. Austria has not been a convincing side in recent years but they gave a strong performance against Macedonia. It should be a close game but Netherlands should still win it and go top of the group. Score: 2-1
